The Universe is Out to Screw Me Over

For some reason (I think it’s because the universe hates me) whenever I wear heels to work, even low ones in a wedge shoe, I always seem to miss my connecting bus from the LRT station and wind up having to walk home (a good 30 minute walk) because I’m too impatient to wait for the next bus. And that’s after being on my feet at work for a good portion of the day. You know what universe, I sort of don’t like you much either.

Does anyone else have horrible luck with heels?

Ahh I hate when that happens!! Stupid ETS/LRT. I have that kind of luck when I wear heels as well. i love the blue pencil skirt and that blouse though!
We should definitely do coffee again or lunch:)

I think I'd just wait for the bus, haha. Pull out the old iPhone, it's easy to kill half an hour.

But maybe you should start keeping a pair of those fold up flats in your bag!

love your cobalt pencil skirt so much!

I love the outfit!!!
And I'm like you, I would walk, I hate waiting for something XD
Luckily I don't really have that problem because I carry my heels in a bag (annoying, but helpful) so I walk in my flats. But most of my flats are uncomfortable walking long distances (they all rub in some weird way) that I usually gravitate toward one pair

That is one of the reasons I live close enough to work to bike or walk if I need to, even in heels. I hate long walks in heels, but 15, 20 minutes, I'm okay. And no bus to wait for!

That's awful :( I hate wearing heels during a rainy day. And I always manage to forget a pair of flats. Ugh. At least it's a good calf workout?? Lol

You look gorgeous but I hear ya on the heels, I love the way heels look but I hate wearing them, my feet ALWAYS hurt. Maybe you should pack a pair of comfortable shoes for in case you have to walk?

You are looking fabulous! Edmonton is doing you good, except for that whoe walking thing. Trick the universe and pack flats in your bag. Works like a charm!

I love the color of your skirt and I was just eyeing those wedges the other day at Target but they didn't have my size :(

I've learned that if I decide to wear heels that's more than 2 inches I tend to pack my handy flats just in case. Even though I drive to work, I often have to walk around and up and down the stairs..so most likely when I go in to work in heels, I go home in flats lol

Oh.....I'm sorry you had to do all that walking in heels.
You do look lovely though!

ugh missing your bus/train is the worst. Whenever I wear heels I tend to trip on something...like my own feet.

I try to bring folding flats if catching the metro, and change shoes. Otherwise wedges have been my favourite lately. After several tunes 30 min. rolls by in no time. xo :)

I don't live in a real city so I don't have any public transportation other than my car. I do think you should keep those flats that can be rolled to fit in your purse on hand every time you wear heels to work.

I very rarely wear heels to work, since I walk to and from work everyday. If I do wear heels, they've got to be super duper comfortable so that I can last the whole day!

When I was walking several miles a day because of school I had to avoid anything with a heel because my feet hated me at the end of a 10-14 hour day. Now, though, I take advantage of the opportunities when they come but have been caught walking long distances in the heels... I think it's the universe taunting us.

Yes, but only bc I'm rather clutzy!

you should trick the universe by packing your heels in your purse and wearing some flats to catch le bus. DECEPTION can be your middle name!

Stunning outfit, even though having to run for the bus/LRT sucks! There's a new post up on my blog and I'd love to hear what you think of it, so feel free to stop by!

Oh, that's the worst! Although I have to admit, I'd usually wait for the next bus ;) I love the bright pop of cobalt from your skirt in this look!

I hate wearing high heels. Hate it. They give me headaches! I only wear them for special occasions or in outfit posts ; ) Love the scarf and pencil skirt, you look so chic!
